Through the Humanities, Longfellow students improve their critical thinking skills and appreciation for the diversity of the human experience.  They investigate ideas, stories, and themes of all times and peoples to better understand diversity and the richness of all cultures.  They learn to communicate and express their ideas and beliefs clearly.  They grow in their awareness of world cultures and understanding of what it means to be a responsible citizen and what it mean to be human.
