Sometimes the Mermaids will sit on a boulder. The upper part of the Mermaid is a beautiful woman, then waist down is a body of a fish. Mermaids have power over water, and when angry, they cause floods. They can also foretell the future and are often found with seals. When they fell in love with a mortal man, they placed a magic cap on the man and he would live forever in the sea. Mermaid by Jaqueline People talk about beautiful Mermaids. They live in the sea and sometimes they sit on a rock near the shore. The mermaid has a body of a women from the waist up and a body of a fish from the waist down. Mermaid by Zoua Vang Mermaids lived in water and would come out of the water and sit on rocks, combing their long golden hair. The comb was made of fishbone. Mermaids have a body of half human and half fish. When mermaids spotted a man they liked, they would place a small magic cap on his head and it could make the man live forever in the water with the mermaids. For thousands of years, sailors have believed in mermaids and mermen. . Dragon by Mao Lee Dragons lived in mountains, caves, swamps, rivers, lakes, oceans, or underwater crystal palaces. Dragons can crawl, fly, breathe fire, bring good luck and can be seen in the shape of clouds. Dragons can control rainfall. Some believed that dragons came trom thousand year-old snake eggs or that water snakes become dragons after 500 years. Pegasus . Dragon by Aranya Thao Long ago, many people really believed in dragons. They live for thousand year. Some of the dragons can fly and some are very different but do look alike. A dragon skin may be gold as ever or it just look like it. They power can breathe fire. Lots and lots of dragons live in volcanos and caves. the dragons that live in volcanos, could have red colored skin because usually a volcano is red and has lots and lots of lava that is red. Griffin by Kurby Her Griffins were legndary ancient Greek beasts. Some griffins lived in nests lined with gold. A griffin has legs like a eagle and a body of a lion and has pointed ears like a dog it has dark blue and rose red feather. A griffin is stronger then hundred eagles. If you help a griffin it will break one of it claw. . Dragon by Paul Lee Dragons live in caves and mountains.Dragon can have one than one head. Dragon special powers are breathing fire. . Monkey King by Rhia Xiong The monkey king was born out of a rock and was raised by the gods of heaven. He was smart and capable, he learned magic tricks and gongfu from his master toaist. He knew 72 forms of magic and can turn himself into 9,000 things and ride on clouds. He went on a journey called the THE JOUNEY TO THE WEST. Cerberus by Tsim Nuj Lee The Cerberus was a giant three headed dog who guarded the gate to the underworld which is called Hades. The Cerberus' special power was to guard people from the underworld, and one head was always awake. Chimera by Chris Thao The Chimera is one of the most dangerous mythical beasts. Some Chimera lived on mountains that were very hot and killed people who came too close. The Chimera had a head of a lion, a body of a goat, and a tail of a snake. It used fire to attack and to protect itself. In ancient Greek mythology people who lived near the Chimera were always in danger. Cerberus by Chinu Yang The Cerberus was a creature that guarded the gate to Hades. It has 3 heads like dogs and a snake tail. 2 heads sleep while 1 stays up all the time. The Cerberus’s father's name is Typhoon. The sound of a harp could make all the Cerberus’s heads sleep. If someone tries to get out of the underworld, Cerberus would kill them.
