I grew up in Roseville, Minnesota. I graduated from the College of Saint Catherine with a BA in English, the University of Minnesota with a BS in Elementary Education, and Saint Mary's University with an MA in Teaching and Learning. I am married and I have three children, ages sixteen, fourteen, and eleven. My family and I live in Como Park and my children attend Saint Paul Public Schools.

My family enjoys "escaping" to our cabin Up North on weekends, and when I am not teaching I like to read, write, make jewelry, scrap book, and support my children's hockey careers.

Teaching brings back fond memories for me of my own learning experiences, and I share my enthusiasm and dedication with my students. I work hard to incorporate my creative energy and love of history into my teaching within the Humanities curriculum.
