Hi, my name is Laura Clausen and I am one of the First Grade teachers at Longfellow Humanities Magnet. This is my third year at Longfellow and my third year teaching. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a B.A. in Art in 1997 and from St. Thomas University with a B.A. in Marketing in 2003. I went on to work in management and sales, only to realize my true passion (and coming from a family of teachers) is to teach kids. I then received my Master's Degree in Teaching from Hamline University in 2006.
I was born and raised in St. Paul, attending St. Paul Public Schools. I still live in St. Paul with my husband Nick and our 5 year old Golden Retriever Ellie. I love to travel, run, play tennis, do home improvement projects, and spend time with my family.
